Gbolahan Olugbemi, a former aide-de-camp to the late Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, who also held the position of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), has been tragically found dead at his residence in Ogbomoso, Oyo state.

It is reported that he had traveled from Lagos to Ogbomoso to celebrate Easter, but his life was cut short. The shocking discovery was made when his body was found hanging from the roof of his living room in Ogbomoso on Monday.
Prior to his untimely demise, Gbolahan Olugbemi was in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at Panti, Lagos.
This position held great responsibility and showcased his dedication to maintaining law and order in the state.
However, the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, as the spokesperson of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) annex in Lagos, Oluwakemi Mayegun, stated that she had no information regarding the cause of Olugbemi’s passing.
The police authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding this tragic incident. The sudden loss of Gbolahan Olugbemi has undoubtedly left a void within the force, as he had served in various capacities throughout his career.
Notably, he had previously held the position of Area Commander of ‘Area J’ Command in the Lekki-Ajah axis of Lagos State, showcasing his experience and dedication to maintaining peace and security in the region.
The circumstances surrounding his death are a cause for concern and further investigation is required to determine the cause of this unfortunate event.
