Ogun State football player Sodiq Adebisi passed away at the Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu-Ode after passing out during a practise.
The incident allegedly happened on Saturday while the player was working out with other football players.

His teammates sent the 34-year-old to a state hospital in Ijebu-Ode after witnessing him fall to the ground.
He was declared dead the same day he was brought to the hospital, despite the incredible efforts of medical staff.
On Tuesday, Omolola Odutola, the state police public relations officer, verified the incident and disclosed that Ganiyu Adebisi, the deceased’s brother, had contacted the Igbeba Police Division to request that the body be buried.
“The brother came to our Igbeba division to report the incident.” According to Odutola, the family expressed their want to bury the deceased in accordance with Islamic custom and expressed no need for an investigation.
