RT’s editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan has shared a video of the interrogation of a suspected terrorist involved in the shooting spree at Crocus City concert hall near Moscow. The man, with a beard, confessed to being paid to carry out the attack and revealed details about the incident, including his trip to Türkiye before the crime.
The suspect admitted to shooting people at the concert venue for money, claiming that he was promised a significant sum for his actions. He mentioned that part of the payment had already been transferred to his debit card and that he was contacted by unknown individuals through the Telegram messaging app to organize the attack.
The man stated that he had been influenced by sermons from a preacher on Telegram before being approached by the organizers of the attack about a month ago. Simonyan later released more footage of another suspect, who described how he had recently befriended someone on Telegram, leading to the purchase of a car possibly intended for use in the attack.
The terrorist incident at Crocus City Hall resulted in a high number of casualties, with many dead and injured. The suspects were detained in Bryansk Region, close to the Ukrainian border, by Russia’s FSB security service. The videos shared by Simonyan shed light on the individuals involved in the tragic event that took place on Friday evening in Krasnogorsk.
