According to reports, the organisation announced that one of its fighters had died and declared that it would react in accordance with “rules of deterrence.”

Following a recent escalation, the Shiite terrorist organisation Hezbollah, located in Lebanon, declared on Monday that it will “respond” to Israeli attacks on its installations. Additionally, the militants acknowledged that at least one of their members perished in the assaults.

Without specifying what specific actions it intended to take, the organisation told Lebanon’s al-Jadeed TV that it will react to the bombardment of the Ayt al-Shaab region in the south of the nation “in accordance with the rules of deterrence that it has imposed.”

Israel is still attacking southern Lebanon, according to a number of local news sites, who also speculated that two Hezbollah militants may have died in the attacks. The Israeli media reported that several rockets were fired at Israel on Monday night from Lebanon, but no one was hurt. Residents of cities in northern Israel have been given limitations after West Jerusalem confirmed what it described as a fire exchange at the border with Lebanon, according to the local media.

According to the Israeli military’s Home Front Command, local businesses can only stay open if they have direct access to bomb shelters, and gatherings are limited to 30 people outside and 300 people inside. Public beaches are also blocked. The media stated that the measures will likely be prolonged and that they would last till Tuesday evening.

The Hezbollah declaration coincides with the largest standoff in recent years between Israel and the Palestinian militant organisation Hamas that rules the Gaza Strip. Hamas conducted a huge assault on Israel over the weekend, crossing the border and briefly occupying surrounding Israeli settlements. Additionally, over the past few days, it has fired thousands of rockets at Israel.

Israeli authorities claim that at least 900 people have died as a result of Hamas strikes. Israel’s response was to bombard the Gaza Strip with heavy airstrikes and declare a “complete siege” on the territory.

Hezbollah has previously received a warning from Washington for it to stay out of the crisis between Israel and Hamas. In an interview with CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken particularly referenced the organisation based in Lebanon.
