After a friend of his, a teen, passed away at his residence from allegedly taking a narcotic believed to be tramadol, the police in Delta State’s Ovwian/Aladja Division in Udu Local Government Area detained a young guy only known by his first name, Samuel.
As reported by Obasanjonews24, the event took place in the Okuku Street neighbourhood of the Ovwian Community in the Udu Local Government District.
According to what has been learned, the suspect purchased a significant amount of narcotics, which he then used on the dead before leaving the house and going to play football nearby.
He found his companion in a home, unconscious, when he returned from the field. When he called out, a nearby nurse verified that he had passed away.
According to the suspect’s neighbours and locals who requested anonymity, hard drug use and the duo’s inappropriate behaviour were all too common in the neighbourhood.
The parents of the deceased are not prepared to provide the police with information, according to the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, who spoke with Our Correspondent on the phone. As a result, the police will not comment on the case for the time being.
As of the time of this report, the suspect is regaining composure in the police cell.
