Dauda, an industrial welder and the Managing Director of Joda Construction Works Limited, urged the Nigeria Football Federation to ensure that the players receive their rightful rewards.

Sunday Okon, a fellow football enthusiast, mentioned that the team could be an excellent backup for Nigeria’s senior national team, the Super Eagles.

Okon, an Uber driver, expressed his personal joy over their performance and resilience in the match. He added that they played as a cohesive team with excellent chemistry.

The Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Malam Shehu Dikko, also extended his congratulations to Nigeria’s U-20 team, the Flying Eagles, for successfully defending their WAFU B U-20 championship title.

Dikko praised the team’s achievement, calling the victory a “welcome gift” for Nigerian sports and an inspiring milestone in their journey forward.

He mentioned that the win had established a positive momentum for the Flying Eagles as they gear up for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, with aspirations to qualify for the U-20 World Cup.

He emphasized the importance of starting preparations early for the U-20 AFCON, ensuring that the team is well-prepared when the continental competition begins in January 2025.

The leading teams from the U-20 AFCON will represent Africa at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, scheduled for September 2025.

According to NAN, Kparobo Arierhi’s goals as a dynamic forward for the Flying Eagles have aided Nigeria in retaining the WAFU B U-20 trophy and preserving its regional dominance.

In the 34th minute of the match, Kparobo Arierhi scored the opening goal after receiving a pass near the edge of Black Satellites’ penalty area.

Once more, he scored the second goal by receiving a couple of passes before unleashing a powerful right-footed shot into the top of the net.

The Black Satellites’ persistent pressure finally yielded results for the Ghanaians in the 74th minute, as they closed the gap after a chaotic scramble near the goal.

Nonetheless, the Flying Eagles successfully defended their title from two years ago in Niger Republic.

According to NAN, Nigeria’s Kparobo Arierhi was named the Man of the Match following the exciting contest.
