Five people were killed in an accident in Ogun, and the FRSC emphasises the importance of following the law
In order to reduce highway collisions, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Command, has recommended drivers to follow traffic laws.
In an interview with NAN on Monday in Ota, Ogun, Mr. Anthony Uga, the Corps’ Ogun Sector Commander, offered the counsel.
According to OBASANJO NEWS24, the FRSC responded to a collision involving a DAF truck with the registration number KMC 810 ZB, a Toyota Hiace bus with the marking TMA 244 XA, and an unregistered Mitsubishi pickup.
The accident that occurred at Foursquare Camp, Ajebo, on the Lagos-Ibadan Motorway on Sunday morning has been reported to have left five people dead and 12 others injured.
According to Uga, if the drivers had followed the laws of the road, the accident might have been avoided.
He urged drivers to prioritise following traffic laws and regulations since doing so would help to protect people and property on the roads.
“The FRSC is urging drivers to exercise caution and common sense when driving, especially during downpours, in order to avoid traffic accidents.
They must make sure that their automobiles are mechanically sound and that all of their vehicle’s parts are in good working order.
In order to drive safely and avoid collisions, drivers must also get enough sleep, according to the expert.
