Five Nigerians were arrested in South Africa for narcotics trafficking.
Five Nigerians have been detained in Pretoria, South Africa, on drug possession charges.
The accused were detained by officers of the Tshwane Metro Police Drug (TMPD) Unit on Tuesday in Garsfontein.
In a statement, the unit stated that the estimated street value of the illegal goods is close to 500,000 Rand.
Agents from the TMPD reacted to a tip-off about a white Suzuki carrying narcotics on Atterbury Road.
The transporter was then subtly tracked by a squad of officers to his apartment in a complex.
The cops discovered four people packing crystal meth and heroin (nyaope) inside the residence.
“Well done team,” said the statement, noting that “they were all detained for distributing and possessing narcotics.
