“From Apapa Port in Lagos, Nigeria, the first container goods train of the Lagos-Ibadan railway, constructed by #CCECC, has departed. It arrived at Ibadan station in about two and a half hours after leaving Apapa Port with three 40-foot containers, he claimed.
According to PlatinumPost, a portion of the proposed Lagos to Kano Standard Gauge Rail Project includes the 157-kilometer Lagos-Ibadan railway, which runs from Ebute Metta in Lagos to Moniya in Ibadan. Moniya is currently connected to Apapa Port.
The goods train is anticipated to relieve traffic on the always congested Apapa highways and lower the number of collisions involving vehicles, which are frequently utilised to transport containers from the port.
