In a market on Dosunmu Street, in the Lagos Island neighbourhood of Lagos State, fire has damaged assets valued at millions of naira, completely destroying three three-story structures.

The fire has been contained, according to the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.

In a statement, Margaret Adeseye, the director of the organisation, stated that “a trio of three-storey buildings” were involved in the fire that was reported at 8:50 p.m. on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the source of the incident is still unknown; further research will provide more information. A range of commodities were impacted, including Christmas things, decorative fittings, and key locks and cylinders, the cost of which was not immediately known.

She mentioned that the fire was contained to the highest floors of the buildings thanks to the prompt action of the firemen.

“As operations begin to slow down, there are no records of injuries or fatalities,” Adeseye continued.
