In response to the Wednesday fire incident at its refinery, Dangote Group issued an official statement.
The Dangote Refinery released a statement characterising the incident as minor and stating that it has been contained.
“There is a small fire at the effluent treatment plant of Dangote Refinery.”
“On this Wednesday, June 26, we quickly put out a little fire that occurred at our effluent treatment plant (ETP).
The refinery is still working, and no injuries or bodily harm have been reported to any of our on-duty staff, so there is no need for concern, according to the statement.
According to a previous story on Obasanjonews.com, explosions were audible on Wednesday following a significant fire outbreak at the refinery in the Lagos State neighbourhood of Ibeju-Lekki.
