Abubakar Muhammad Adam, a Gombe State University (GSU) accounting student, passed away on Monday while taking his 400-level exams.
“This is to inform you that Abubakar Muhd Adam, male, with registration number UG18/ASAC/1113 at 400 LEVEL, Accounting Department, was rushed to the university clinic this morning during accounting exams,” Adam’s classmates said on social media.

“Unfortunately, he died at the clinic at the school. Later, the university ambulance driver, a representative from the university clinic, the university deputy CSO, the SRC VP and some of his friends all transported him to the specialist hospital mortuary.
According to the statement, Adam’s uncle, who served as his only guardian in Gombe, later joined them at the cemetery.
In Gombe, the uncle is the principal of Kamara Primary School, Bolari.
Our source claims that the uncle has already called the deceased’s father, the deceased’s brother, and that they are their route from Jos for the burial.
Adam was transported to the university clinic, where he was later pronounced dead, according to a university official who wished to remain anonymous.
According to the official, the student’s family has been contacted, and his burial will take place tomorrow.
However, according to the State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, ASP Mahid Mua’zu, the police have not received a briefing on the incident.
