The Palestine Football Association has urged FIFA to take action against Israeli teams in response to the conflict in Gaza.

The PFA has requested that its proposal, supported by six other member nations, be included on the agenda for FIFA’s upcoming congress in May. In response, Israel’s football association stated that it has always followed FIFA regulations. The PFA’s statement highlighted the loss of innocent lives, including footballers, and the destruction of infrastructure in Gaza as clear violations of international laws.

The PFA specifically referenced an incident in which Palestinians, including children, were detained in a stadium. The PFA also called on FIFA to address the inclusion of football teams located in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, which are considered illegal under international law.
