FIFA 2030 & 2034 World Cup Host Bids Submitted

FIFA World Cup candidates for the 2030 and 2034 editions have submitted their bid books. Discover the potential host nations.

FIFA has received bidding books from football federations hailing from Morocco, Spain, Argentina and both Paraguay (/pær.ə.ɡwaɪ/) and Uruguay (ˈjʊərəgwaɪ).

On Monday, Gianni Infantino announced that the organization will assess bids from potential hosts for 2030 as well as Saudi Arabia, who is vying to host the football event in 2034.

The plans for the 2030 World Cup have been confirmed by Italian officials. The FA presidents of Morocco, Spain, and Portugal presented their proposals to host the main event along with Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay who will hold the opening three matches in honor of the tournament’s centennial celebration.

Their bid book and supporting documents for the 2034 edition of finals were submitted by Saudi Arabia.

Once the official submission deadline passes on Wednesday (July 31st), FIFA will make public the proposals via its website.

In Q4 of this year, the Extraordinary FIFA Congress will decide on the selection of hosts for 2030 and 2034.

Infantino stated that the debates regarding earning the privilege of hosting the FIFA World Cup are exceedingly intense.
