FGC Yauri student who got pregnant in terrorists’ camp dies from stroke
The mother of one of the Federal Government College abducted students, Birnin Yauri, in Kebbi State, recently suddenly after learning that her daughter had become pregnant while being held captive by a terrorist, according to PRNigeria.
The mother’s death, according to the sources—who begged to remain anonymous—was caused by “severe emotional and psychological trauma.”
The young mother who is pregnant is one of the 11 female students who have not yet been released when gunmen kidnapped over 100 pupils and eight staff on June 17, 2021, in the mixed boarding school after murdering a policeman.
Security personnel were able to rescue some of the children and instructors a few days after the kidnapping, while others managed to flee from the gunmen who were attempting to take them away.
After receiving ransom money, the terrorists also freed 30 pupils and 30 instructors.
One of the moms of the abducted students tragically passed away, and a close family member of the dead informed PRNigeria that the mother passed away after hearing the news of her daughter’s pregnancy.
“Our sister was deeply concerned about the state of her kidnapped daughter before she died away. She received bad news, had a stroke, and became paralyzed.
She kept asking herself why the terrorists would have the audacity to have a sexual relationship with her 15-year-old daughter and become pregnant as a result. She insisted that she could not receive her daughter with a bastard, implying that she would have animosity against the child her daughter would bear for their kidnappers, according to the family member.
In a similar event, while some parents anxiously await their daughters’ release, others quietly perish from the embarrassment of having grandkids who would be labeled “bastards.”
We’ve heard that some FGC Yauri female parents are unsure of how to react when their daughters ultimately return home with children fathered by criminals. They have very real concerns about it.
A source in Kebbi State, where FGC Birnin Yauri is based, told PRNigeria that as a result, “they could express empathy for their daughters’ situation, but not necessarily to the children their girls delivered for the terrorists.”
It was revealed at the beginning of this month that one of the 11 surviving female students from FGC Yauri, who was 16 years old, gave birth to a son at the abductors’ camp in the jungle.
A feast for the kid of one of the female students held captive was prepared over the weekend by armed bandits, it was revealed in another report last Sunday.
Two other students in the terrorists’ den gave birth to a baby girl and a baby boy, according to a local source who confirmed the news of the child’s “naming ceremony.”
There are now four or five additional female students who are expecting. He had stated that one of them was about to give birth.
The 11 schoolgirls are still held captive despite various ransom payments and prisoner exchanges.
