FG: Tinubu’s Government Won’t Give Up on Current Projects

N449.9 million was allocated by the Federal Executive Council to construct an airport master plan for 17 airports across the nation.

The Federal Government has promised Nigerians that the upcoming administration of President-Elect Bola Tinubu will not abandon ongoing projects.

After a Federal Executive Council meeting that lasted more than seven hours on Wednesday and was presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Water Resources Suleiman Adamu made this statement.

He said that because they had promised to work for Nigerians to the very end, the council continued to approve numerous contracts totaling billions of naira.

The preparation of an airport master plan for 17 airports across the nation will be funded with N449.9 million, according to the council. They include the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja and the Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos.

Additional airports include those in Port Harcourt, Kano, Owerri, Benin, Enugu, Maiduguri, Yola, Kaduna, Calabar, Ilorin, Sokoto, Ibadan, Jos, Akure, and Katsina.

The Council approved two significant contracts for Ogoni in the second phase, including a water project worth N22.8 billion and a N107 billion award for the remediation of newly discovered hydro carbon impacted sites along the shoreline of Ogoni land, according to Senior Special Assistant to the President Garba Shehu.
