FG proclaims Wednesday holiday

In honour of the Muslim faithful’s celebration of Eil-ul-Maulid, the Federal Government, under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, has declared September 27, 2023, a public holiday.

On behalf of the Minister of the Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Oluwatoyin Akinlade, issued a statement in which this information was revealed.

Tunji-Ojo expressed his gratitude to all Muslims for being present for the event this year.

The minister further advised them to emulate the deep spiritual values of love, tolerance, endurance, and patience that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) displayed.
