The Build-A-Thon initiative programme, initiated by the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, is now accepting applications for teaching positions.
The announcement was made on Thursday via the Ministry’s “X” handle.

Led by Minister Bosun Tijani, the programme aims to encourage the early adoption of technology among senior secondary students.
Scheduled to take place in January 2024, the programme will span four days and involve 1,500 students from 150 schools across Owerri, Maiduguri, and Abeokuta.
The ministry emphasized the importance of finding educators and teachers who possess a visionary mindset and enthusiasm to mentor the future tech innovators in secondary schools.
They encourage interested individuals to apply for the program through its website.
The minister highlighted that the Build-A-Thon initiative is a crucial part of their strategic plan to encourage early adoption of technology and nurture future leaders in innovation.
The program aims to showcase innovative projects, acknowledge accomplishments, encourage collaboration, inspire future leaders, and promote lifelong learning.
