A meeting regarding the ongoing statewide strike is currently taking place between the executives of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the federal government of Nigeria.
The meeting is said to be held at the National Security Adviser’s (NSA) office, according to OBASANJO NEWS24.
The Minister of State Hon. Nkeiruka Onyeajeocha, the NSA Nuhu Ribadu, and the Minister of Labour Simon Bako Lalong are present.

Labour leaders Festus Osifo, the president of the TUC, Emmanuel Ugboaja, the secretary general of the NLC, and other leaders are also there.
Remember how the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the NLC had called for a statewide walkout, demanding the arrest of the alleged thugs and their backers?
Days prior, on November 1, when workers in the state launched a demonstration over unpaid salary, the NLC president was attacked in the capital city of Owerri, Imo State.
