President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s attendance at the 78th United Nations General Assembly, or UNGA, has received attention from the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.

OBASANJO NEWS24 cites Tinubu’s departure from Nigeria on Sunday for the 78th United Nations General Assembly in New York.

It was a great outing for the president of Nigeria, according to Mohammed Idris, minister of information and national orientation.

The President is rumoured to have started initiatives to open up the Nigerian economy when he was attending the UNGA.

The President has travelled to India and the United Arab Emirates for this reason.

According to the minister, Tinubu arrived to the event with a powerful message from Nigeria to let the world know that Nigeria is available for business in that area.

He met with the UN Secretary General and Amina Muhammad, our own Amina Muhammad, the UN’s Deputy Secretary General, he said. The minister informed the press on Thursday that he had intense conversations with foreign leaders as well.

The President of ExxonMobil Upstream has promised 40,000 additional barrels of oil per day as a new push for Nigeria’s continued investment in the nation. “He had a commitment, especially from ExxonMobil.

He has met with business leaders, members of the ICT tech community, representatives from the oil industry, and many other people. He has also engaged with African and other world leaders.

“Investors are already committing to visit Nigeria and make significant financial investments for the growth of both our nation and the rest of the world.

His constant argument is that, first and foremost, neither Nigeria nor Africa deserve to be pitied.

“Nigeria and the rest of the world should have a relationship that is respectful of one another and on an even playing field.

“The days of viewing Nigeria and Africa as a continent where people should be pitied are long gone. We’ve stated to level the playing field. Let’s face off. Nigerians and others from the rest of Africa can contribute to the global development of the world since we have the necessary capabilities.

And the message is that Nigeria is prepared to participate because we have levelled the playing field, opened it up, and are there for you. Don’t feel sorry for us.

“It looks that the world is welcome Nigeria back to its fold, and international leaders are prepared to unite with Nigeria to guarantee that Nigeria likewise assumes its proper place.

“There are a lot of things going on, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria is taking the initiative in that regard.

Open up the space, we are there, we participate and compete, and Nigeria and Africa will be the best for it. Nigeria is becoming a very important nation once again. It is taking its rightful place, and is not only for Nigeria, but for the rest of Africa.
