The trial of alleged members of Boko Haram has been reopened by the federal government.
The trial is being held in Niger State at the Kainji Prosecution Project Phase IV.
At the opening of the Niger court session on Monday, Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, said that the first phase had started in 2017.

In the 2017 trial, he continued, the FG secured 366 convictions, while 896 others were acquitted due to insufficient evidence.
Fagbemi went on to say that 61 more instances had their hearings postponed.
“It is with great pleasure that I greet you all to this unique occasion that signifies the beginning of the prosecution of terrorist suspects,” he stated.
