Our plan is to evaluate the states and determine where we can set up 5 Livestock Service Centres.

Abubakar underscored the importance of adopting the L-PRES project, stating that it would mitigate the issue of conflicts between farmers and herders across Nigeria.

According to Dr. Olufemi Bolarin, the Kogi State Project Coordinator of L-PRES, approximately $31.2 million has been designated towards advancing Livestock Service Centre growth.

By creating employment opportunities, boosting productivity and promoting sustainable practices, the Kogi Livestock Service Centre will substantially aid in advancing the economic growth of Kogi State.

According to him, this endeavor will not solely enhance the livestock industry but also prompt wider regional economic progress and advancement.

The Vice Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Professor Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, exclaimed his satisfaction with the placement of the Center in their institution during a previous speech. He emphasized that it was especially timely as CUSTECH had recently received approval from National Universities Commission to establish a Faculty for Agriculture.
