Femi Ositade, Nigerian Student, Receives $3.5 million In Scholarships From Harvard

Oluwafemi Ositade, a 17-year-old Nigerian student, has been awarded full scholarships to several Ivy League universities in the US, Canada, and Qatar.

The teenager, who is a part of The Ambassadors College, Ota’s Class of 2023, has received scholarships totaling more than $3.5 million.

Ositade’s extraordinary achievement is a result of his outstanding performance on the SAT, where he received a near-perfect score of 760 out of 800 in reading and writing, a flawless 800 in math, and a CGPA of 4.04 out of 4.0 in college.

Ositade was awarded 14 scholarships from esteemed universities, nine of which were full ride scholarships, which pay for all other educational costs in addition to tuition and housing.

Ositade has received scholarship offers from the following universities: Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, University of Miami, Howard University, Stetson University, Fisk University, University of Toronto, Mississauga Campus, University of Toronto St. George Campus, University of Toronto, Scarborough Campus, Yale University, Brown University, Duke University, and University of Toronto Lester B Pearson Scholarship.

With a score of 358 on the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), he was named as the second best student in Nigeria for 2023.

Additionally, Ositade received eight As and one B2 on the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

His love in mathematics and quantum computing has led him to seek a degree in computational physics.
