Female student killed by knife in Gombe

Over the weekend, unidentified thugs killed a female NCE III student at Gombe State College of Education in the state’s Billiri Local Government Area.

It was found that the murderers had followed the student to her room in a private hostel in Billiri’s Zazzagawa district.

The woman, a native of Baganje town in the Billiri Local Government Area, was reportedly killed early on Sunday by unidentified assailants who subsequently fled the area. This information was provided by a local resident.

The dead was stabbed with a kitchen knife, according to ASP Mahid Mu’azu Abubakar, the public relations officer for the Gombe State Police Command.

According to him, a police inquiry has been opened, and the deceased Miss Yusuf’s remains have been placed to a mortuary pending the investigation’s conclusion.
