The Nigerian National Information Portal has been officially opened by Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, as the official digital portal to complete information about Nigeria.

The Minister said the portal acts as a centralised source for both local and international audiences, providing trustworthy and up-to-date information on various aspects of the country, including the government, the people of Nigeria, their cultural heritage, and many more.

The Minister unveiled the portal at the start of the Ministerial Sectoral Briefings to mark the one-year anniversary of the Tinubu Administration.

We take advantage of this chance to introduce the Nigerian National Information Portal. Although it was previously in place, it was handled so poorly that the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation had to revive this new portal

It serves as a portal to all the data you need to learn about our administration, Nigerians, and our customs. Thus, please join me in applauding Nigeria for the relaunch of its new national information portal,” he stated.

The portal can be accessed via www.nigeria.gov.ng.

The Minister stated earlier in his welcoming speech to the Sectoral Briefings that the President has begun to build a strong and long-lasting foundation that will improve the quality of life for Nigerians.

“Among the many policies and programmes that will directly affect and improve the lives and livelihoods of tens of millions of Nigerians are landmark initiatives like the Consumer Credit Corporation, the Nigeria Education Loan Fund, the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas, the 200 Baira Presidential Grant and Loan Scheme, our Agriculture and Food Security efforts (including the launch of Dry Season Farming and massive fertiliser distribution), the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Developm

Idris reaffirmed President Tinubu’s commitment to putting more money in Nigerians’ pockets, luring more inward and outward investment, and modernising the country’s infrastructure in order to drastically reduce the cost of living and conducting business there.

He declared, “And we will not stop or give up until we have given all Nigerians Truly Renewed Hope.”

The Minister of Information and National Orientation stated that the administration’s first anniversary celebration provides a chance to give the Nigerian people a government scorecard by outlining the steps taken thus far to keep the promises and commitments made to them.
