Following a landslide at a campsite in Malaysia early on Friday, authorities worry that about 100 people are trapped.

According to a statement from the state fire and rescue department, the landslide in Selangor state, on the outskirts of the nation’s capital Kuala Lumpur, happened at 3 a.m. (1900 GMT) on the side of a road close to a farmhouse that offers camping amenities.

According to Norazam Khamis, director of the department, at least 31 people were rescued at the encampment.

Estimates show that the avalanche was about one acre wide and came down from a height of 30 meters (98.43 feet).
