On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu was given a mildly dramatic order by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), ordering the Permanent Secretaries in his ministry to bend down.
At the official opening of the N20 arterial route in Abuja, which bears Wole Soyinka’s name as the Nobel Laureate, Wike issued the directive.
In an expression of gratitude for their appointments, the minister gave the Permanent Secretaries instructions to get up from their seats and bow down to Tinubu.
The audience burst out laughing in response to Wike’s instruction.
“Most of them have never dreamed in their lives that they will ever get to the peak of their careers,” Wike stated during his speech.
