FCT community demands government intervention to improve access road conditions
The only access road in Sabon Lugbe, Lugbe District, Abuja, is in worse shape, and the locals have asked the government to step in right away to fix it.
The appeal was made by Aso and Taproot Estates residents to journalists on Monday in Abuja.
The district consists of a number of estates and settlements, such as KYC Estate, Dayspring Estate, Vergas Estate, and Sallybest Estate.

According to them, the road was the only route connecting the community to Airport Road, which allowed them to access the rest of the city.
The Aso Estate Residents Association Chairman, Mr. Folorunsho Okeji, stated that the estate has been operational for the last 20 years.
The middle culvert, which serves as the main drainage system from other locations, was in danger of collapse, according to Okeji.
The chairman warned that the adjacent villages and the water source will be harmed in addition to the village’s citizens in the event of the tunnel collapsing.
He continued by saying that some parts of the road had significantly deteriorated and that people had left old tyres in hazardous locations to alert unsuspecting drivers to the possibility of slipping into the pit.
“This road is our only means of transport within and outside of the community, but over the past seven years, additional developments within the area have increased demand for the road.”
