Father and Friend in Trouble for Allegedly Impregnating Stepdaughter

A man and his friend face legal trouble after allegedly impregnating his stepdaughter, sparking outrage and calls for justice. 

A 38-year-old man and his 30-year-old friend are being held for prosecution by the Lagos State Police Command on charges of allegedly defiling and impregnating his 14-year-old stepdaughter.

The command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this in a statement released to the press on Saturday in Lagos.

He stated that the suspects were accused of conspiring to sexually assault the girl in Okokomaiko.

According to Hundeyin, the survivor’s mother filed a report regarding the case on Friday at the Okokomaiko Police Division.

The survivor’s mother stated that her daughter was violated by her husband and his friend.

The case was transferred from the Okokomaiko police division to the Gender Unit in Ikeja.

“The spokesperson stated that the survivor is currently nine months pregnant.”
