In an accident that happened at the Kara turning of the inward stretch of the Lagos-Ibadan motorway on Friday morning, two people lost their lives.

Ten more people were reportedly critically hurt in the collision involving an unregistered white and blue Howo Sino truck and a white Mazda bus with the licence plate XV 945 EPE on Saturday, according to information received by Tribune.

The deceased were placed in a Sagamu mortuary, while the injured victims were transported to a private hospital.

The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Commander Anthony Uga, cautioned the driving public, advising them to avoid driving against traffic (one way) and to drive cautiously to protect their lives and the lives of other road users.

He restated that the FRSC is still dedicated to establishing a safer driving environment and providing safer services, and that in order to do this, it needs everyone’s help.
