Nigeria’s Falconets began their Colombia 2024 campaign with a confident victory, setting the tone for the tournament.
The Falconets kicked off their journey at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup with a triumphant start led by hero Flourish Sabastine, who secured a 1-0 win against Korea Republic in Group D during Monday morning’s clash.
The decisive goal was netted by Sabastine with just four minutes left on the clock, and it was assisted by substitute Chukwuamaka Goodness Osigwe.

In the game, the Falconets demonstrated a determined performance that effectively held off the Koreans throughout their second half efforts.
As of now, Chris Danjuma’s team holds the second spot in the group and has accumulated three points.
With the same number of points, Germany holds first place in their group due to a superior goal difference following their 5-2 victory over Venezuela on Sunday.
On Wednesday, at the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo in Bogota, the Falconets are scheduled to take on Germany for their second game.
