“Starting Tuesday, this exercise will go on for three days,” he stated.
Kumai stated that the agency has arranged a meeting with the leaders of the Agro chemical dealers association to discuss potential hazards caused by chemicals in food, which is scheduled for sometime this week.
As we approach the harvest period in Bauchi, we will be taking measures to discourage dealers of Agro chemicals from utilizing Dictholoruvis and Paraquat substances for food storage purposes.
He added that the chemicals which have been prohibited over time are hazardous.
Kamai alerted bakers and packaged water producers to adhere to the given two-year timeline for license renewal.
If the operational licenses are not renewed, there is a risk of penalties that may interfere with business operations, he warned.
Kamai encouraged small and medium-sized businesses to enlist their products with NAFDAC in order to integrate them into the Nigerian markets.
