The FA has decided not to punish Erling Haaland after he threw the ball at Gabriel during an EPL match. Get the full details on the incident and the FA’s ruling.
Erling Haaland of Manchester City will not get retroactive punishment from the Football Association (FA) for bouncing the ball off Gabriel’s head following their late goal against Arsenal.
The incident took place in the 98th minute, following a thrilling 2-2 tie in which John Stones had just denied City a late equalizer.
Before Gabriel and Riccardo Calafiori gave the Gunners the lead, Haaland had opened the score.
Before Stones caused late anguish, Leandro Trossard was given a second yellow card for kicking the ball away.

Stones bundled home, and then Haaland snatched up the ball and flung it at Gabriel’s head, covering his face with his shirt so he couldn’t see what was happening.
Since then, the FA has decided that VAR has already evaluated the incident, and no action was taken at the time.
