Eyewitness shares story of dropping money for kidnappers at Ojuelegba

Yesterday in the Ikeja High Court, witness Mohammed Buhari testified about his involvement in a kidnapping case.

Buhari recounted how he received a call from the kidnappers and followed their instructions to drop the ransom money at Ojuelegba.

He explained that he placed the money inside a vulcanizer tyre by the roadside as instructed. Buhari also mentioned that he had been searching for the kidnapped boy along with the boy’s father and brother, spending the night on the street.

The next morning, Buhari received a text message demanding a ransom and later spoke to the kidnapper who confirmed that they had the boy and allowed Buhari to speak to him briefly.
