An explosion has occurred at the APP Secretariat in Rivers State, causing damage and raising concerns about the security situation in the area. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the cause and those responsible.

In Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the Action People’s Party (APP) secretariat was hit by an explosive device that has detonated.

According to reports, the midnight blast shattered the glass on a window in close proximity to the site of impact.

Two security vehicles and personnel have been deployed to the scene in new GRA by the Rivers State Police Command. Regular activities are also being carried out seamlessly within this region.

Recently, the relatively obscure APP in Rivers State garnered recognition after acquiring and beautifying a building situated in the luxurious district of Port Harcourt to serve as its headquarters.

It has been claimed that certain members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who are dissatisfied with how their party is being managed in the state, are supporting this party.

Despite its unfortunate nature, this incident indicates that there may be underlying factors contributing to the party’s recent surge in popularity within Rivers State.

There has been no communication between the party and the police regarding the incident.
