The former chairman of Park Management System in Oyo State, Mukaila Lamidi, also known as Auxiliary, has been ordered to be remanded at the Agodi Correctional Centre by the Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan.

Chief Magistrate Olabisi Ogunkanmi made this decision due to a lack of jurisdiction.

It should be noted that Lamidi had been paraded by the Oyo State Police Command earlier in the day and was declared wanted before being apprehended by the Department of State Service (DSS).

The remand is pending the issuance of legal advice from the state Director of Public Prosecution, and the case has been adjourned until July 11 for mention.

Lamidi, represented by Tope Olayinka, is facing charges of conspiracy, causing death, and stealing.

The Officer-in-Charge of the Legal Department of the Police Command, CSP Funke Fawole, informed the court that Lamidi and others, who are still at large, allegedly conspired to commit the offenses.

The crimes were said to have taken place at Baba-Onilu Shopping Complex, Iwo Road, Ibadan, and are in violation of Sections 383 and 316 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.

The offenses are punishable under Sections 319, 111, 390 (9), 324, and 516 of the same code.
