Mesut Ozil, a former player for Arsenal and Real Madrid, has shown his support for Palestine amid the continuing conflict between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas.

Following the strikes by the terrorist organisation, Hamas, in Israel on Saturday, Ozil is the most well-known sports figure to have shown sympathy for Palestinians in the wake of the crisis in the area.

According to OBASANJO NEWS24, since last weekend, there has been a comprehensive military battle in the Gaza Strip as a result of the conflict between Israel and Hamas escalating.

Humanitarian organisations said that the fighting had already killed over 2,300 lives on both sides.
