Ex-crew member alleges that while Mark Angel Comedy made $160k monthly, Emmanuella was paid only 20k, raising questions about fairness.
Dennison Igwe, a supporter of Mark Angel comedy, has provided clarification on his departure from the comedic group.
“He spoke,”
The inception of Mark Angel Comedy can be attributed to me as the initiator. At Kilimanjaro Restaurant situated in GRA, Port Harcourt, where I was undertaking camera work and where Mark worked as a security guard, I purloined a camera which we employed for production purposes while shooting skits together.
He went on to say, “Mark proposed the idea of establishing a Facebook page and we followed through. However, when it began generating revenue or whatever was happening with it, Mark failed to inform me. In 2014 he acquired a car which left me curious about its source of funding but his response was that someone gifted him the vehicle.”
Emmanuella started receiving a monthly payment of N20k from him. Our living conditions were impoverished and I was an orphan residing in a makeshift shelter. We didn’t fully understand the significance of our work at that time. Mark did not provide me with ₦1000 until 2016 when he entrusted me to manage ₦50k, explaining that our endeavors weren’t generating revenue despite earning $160,000 then. As someone who is no longer intimidated as an orphan whom he cannot harm physically, only I can speak truthfully about Mark’s actions; others fear repercussions such as sudden death or accidents if they mention his name candidly.”
