Mumini Oseni, 25, was detained by Osun Amotekun Corps agents in Osogbo for allegedly attempting to kidnap someone.
While attempting to abduct a young girl in the Obanisola Street, Powerline area, Osogbo, the suspect was apprehended on Saturday.
The little girl allegedly received a N50 note from Oseni, and when she raised an alarm, her mother noticed.
Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi, Corps Commander of Amotekun in Osun, who confirmed Oseni’s arrest, claimed the culprit escaped the scene before bad luck turned against him.
“After a complaint was filed, operatives sprang into action and caught him in the act, leading to his detention.
According to Adewinmbi, “during questioning, the felon confessed to committing the act and disclosed that he was an ex-convict jailed for armed robbery.”
According to Adewinmbi, the suspect has been given to the police for questioning and prosecution.
