Ex-beauty queen sought by NDLEA for trafficking in illegal drugs

Ms. Aderinoye Queen Christmas, also known as Ms. Queen Oluwadamilola Aderinoye, has been declared wanted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) after allegedly evading arrest during a raid on her residence in Lekki, Lagos.

The search was conducted based on credible intelligence suggesting her involvement in illicit substance trafficking. During the operation, NDLEA officials seized 606 grams of Canadian Loud, a synthetic strain of cannabis, along with drug packaging materials, an electronic weighing scale, and a black RAV 4 SUV with license plate Lagos KSF 872 GQ.

In addition to this, significant arrests were made in connection with international drug trafficking activities.

Sunday Michael Owoborode, aged 52, and Valentine Anene were apprehended in Edu Orita, Ogun state, where Anene was allegedly preparing to travel to Qatar with narcotics.

The operatives confiscated 1.8kg of cannabis, an electronic weighing scale, and other illicit substances from the suspects.

Another arrest was made in Lagos, where Sunday Adediran, 50, was found with 20kg of cannabis sativa in his residence in Mushin Olosha.

The NDLEA has been actively conducting advocacy lectures in schools and communities across Nigeria as part of its War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) campaign.

Efforts have been made to raise awareness about drug abuse and trafficking through sensitization lectures conducted in several states including Adamawa, Ogun, Lagos, Oyo, Katsina, and Anambra.

Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd), the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, expressed his appreciation for the outstanding performance of NDLEA officers and personnel in their fight against drug trafficking and their dedication to promoting WADA advocacy programs.

He emphasized the importance of both reducing drug supply and addressing drug demand in the agency’s mission.

The NDLEA also called on the public to provide any information regarding the whereabouts of Ms. Aderinoye Queen Christmas to aid in her apprehension, underscoring their unwavering commitment to combating drug abuse and trafficking in Nigeria.
