Europa League: Lookman Earns Player of the Week Nomination

Ademola Lookman, the Atalanta winger, has been nominated for the Europa League Player of the Week award by Obasanjonews.com.

Lookman delivered an outstanding performance as Atalanta secured a spot in the UEFA Europa League final with a 3-0 win over Olympic Marseille on Thursday evening.

The Nigerian not only scored a goal but also provided an assist during the match. Lookman opened the scoring for La Dea in the 30th minute after being set up by Charles De Ketelaere.

He then assisted Matteo Ruggeri for Atalanta’s second goal in the 52nd minute.

With a total of 20 goal involvements this season (12 goals and eight assists), the 26-year-old will be competing against AS Roma’s Mile Svilar for the prestigious award.

Atalanta is set to face Bayer Leverkusen in the final in Dublin on Wednesday, May 22.
