According to Ethiopian Airlines, “Ghana-must-go” baggage will not be permitted for passengers boarding any of its flights from Nigeria.
Ghana-must-go bags are well-liked load carriers in Nigeria that resemble sacs. They are available in many colours and sizes, and many travellers choose them because of their affordability and robustness.

The airline received a letter dated November 24, 2023, written to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria’s regional manager, which stated that the ban became effective on November 25 of that same year.
The letter stated, “Please be informed that the usage of Ghana Must Go to travel on our flight is hereby prohibited,” as of November 25, 2023.
“The prohibition stems from the significant loss incurred by the airlines and the damage caused to the conveyor belt system, which affects not only our flight but also flights operated by other foreign airlines, when using Ghana Must Go for baggage packing.”
The airline does, however, permit users to keep using the bags to package their belongings, provided that they are properly wrapped in rectangular hardcover cartons.
