Erica Ash, known for ‘Survivor’s Remorse’, dies at 46. Celebrate the life and legacy of this talented actor.

Erica Ash, a multi-talented personality acclaimed as a comedian, actor, singer and model has passed away at 46. She had made her mark in several popular TV shows such as “MadTV”, “Survivor’s Remorse,” Rosie O’Donnell’s”The Big Gay Sketch Show” among others including the Kevin Hart series called “Real Husbands of Hollywood.”

“Erica, a skilled entertainer and remarkable woman who brought joy to countless individuals with her quick wit, humor, and infectious enthusiasm for life has peacefully passed away. Surrounded by loved ones after demonstrating immense courage in the face of cancer.”

This statement was provided to NPR by Ash’s publicist on behalf of her family. Erica will continue to live forever in our hearts as an inspiration.”

Starting off on stage, Ash’s career commenced with notable performances in productions such as the Broadway hitBaby It’s You, a touring show of Disney classicThe Lion King, and Off-Broadway sensationSoul Doctor.

Growing up as the child of a U.S. Army Captain/Chaplain and a math teacher, Ash experienced frequent relocations – including residing in Germany for some time.

Despite graduating from Emory University with a premed degree, her lifelong interest in performing never waned since childhood. Following university studies, she ventured to Japan where she flourished as both model and entertainer on stage: singing while acting simultaneously too!

Siedah Garrett, one of the many performers honoring Ash’s memory said that Erica from Survivor’s Remorse was a beautiful, talented and funny actor.

She recalled how generously Erica had collaborated with her on an original jailhouse skit submitted to Netflix which moved her to tears at the news of her passing.

According to Christopher Landon, director of We Have A Ghost, “Erica Ash shone like a beacon. Her radiant beauty, sense of humor and exceptional talent were awe-inspiring.

Working with her was an immense privilege for me and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to call her my friend as well. My thoughts are with Erica’s loved ones in this difficult time.”
