The stakeholders, CBN, NESI – SSL, NERC, AEDC, and TCN, were hosted by the Project Implementation Office (PIO) of Transmission – Distribution Projects yesterday, December 4, 2023, under the direction of Engineer Matthew A. Ajibade, the Programme Manager, to inspect consignments of power equipment delivered by Bussdorr & Company Ltd at TCN Gwagwalada 132/33KV substation in Abuja.
Ndidi Mbah, General Manager of Public Affairs at TCN, stated in a press release that the project is a component of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) involvement in the electricity industry.

According to the press release, the facility’s goal is to eliminate transmission/distribution interface bottlenecks across the nation in order to increase end-user supply and free up idle generation capacity.
“PMO has made progress with the program’s implementation, despite challenges encountered, and is committed to ensure the program’s successful implementation by June 2024 at the latest,” the statement continued.
Stakeholders in the projects will also be present for the planned inspection tour during the week to examine the delivered equipment and a few chosen project locations in Lagos.
