Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, believes that Newcastle United has an advantage over his team because they will not be playing in Europe in 2023, unlike Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester United, who are all vying for the Premier League crown.
Guardiola says that unlike their rivals, who are still in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, Newcastle is only focused on winning the Premier League title in 2023.

On the Premier League standings, Manchester City just leads third-place Newcastle United by two points, while Arsenal leads the log.
This season, Eddie Howe, Newcastle’s manager, has helped the team improve quickly, which has surprised many people.
“It’s a great benefit [for Newcastle not competing in Europe]. I think so, sure. Focusing on one thing, it’s much better.” Guardiola remarked at his pre-match news conference before Manchester City’s Premier League match against Everton on Saturday night.
They are still competing in the Carabao Cup, but things have improved.
“It’s about us, not about Arsenal or Newcastle,” he continued. We succeeded in the league because we were authentic.
