In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Guardiola stated: “Liverpool will have been my adversary, our rival, when I complete my time in England. Always.”
The Spaniard continued when asked where Arsenal stood in the rankings: “Now, they will start to be there, and last season. However, they weren’t there earlier in order to claim the title and FA Cups.
They weren’t participants in the Champions League. They are currently in their first season in a very long time.
“So Liverpool has been the [primary] rival. But now that they’ve arrived and are staying, Arsenal, Newcastle, and other teams have knocked on the door.
