EPL: Shocking return of Varane to Real Madrid after playing for Man Utd

According to BILD, Raphael Varane, a defender for Manchester United, is preparing for an unexpected return to Real Madrid.

Varane spent ten years with the dominant La Liga team before leaving Spain to join United in the summer of 2021.

After David Alaba underwent surgery on Sunday to repair a ruptured ACL in his left knee during Los Blancos’ 4-1 victory over Villarreal, the team is currently dealing with a defensive injury problem.

Due to an ACL damage sustained back in August, Eder Militao is also out of action for Madrid.

Of the remaining centre defenders, only Antonio Rudiger and Nacho are fit.

They could now consider bringing Varane back to help with their injury problem.

Varane won eighteen championships at the Santiago Bernabeu, including four Champions Leagues.
