Emmanuel Petit, a former France midfielder, expressed concern over Arsenal’s loss of William Saliba and Gabriel against Manchester City on Wednesday.
With a game in hand and a three-point advantage, the Gunners welcome City at the Emirates.
However, Mikel Arteta’s team has lost some of its momentum after losing to Everton and drawing 1-1 with Brentford the previous Saturday.
Ever since the campaign started, the Saliba and Gabriel team has been impressive.
Saliba’s performance, however, has declined recently as teams now seem to be focusing on Arsenal from set pieces.
“Gabriel and Saliba don’t appear to be the same defenders they were a few months ago.
“They appear ordinary in the most recent games. Saliba in particular is not doing as well as he did earlier this season, according to Petit, according to Compare Bet.
