EPL: Osimhen was encouraged not to sign with Chelsea in January
Victor Osimhen of Napoli has been encouraged by former Chelsea custodian Shaka Hislop to choose a transfer to Real Madrid or Barcelona over a possible switch to the Blues.
Osimhen has been mentioned in connection with a January deal to Chelsea.
This is in response to the recent deterioration of his status at Napoli.
When the exit door opens in January, Hislop stated on ESPN FC, “If I’m Victor Osimhen, I’m not convinced Chelsea is the club I want to go to right now.
“A striker is currently in high demand among a number of clubs across the world of football.
If you look at English football in general, Manchester United has Hejlund, but Osimhen is in a different league.

There are other clubs that you can visit without a doubt, and not just if you’re interested in English football, leave alone Chelsea. You can visit a lot of clubs that are at a better location.
If you start to look more afield, we can talk about Real Madrid, Hislop continued. Lewandowski is now playing for Barcelona, and I don’t anticipate him leaving for a few more years.
He is getting close to turning 35, but January may be a bit early for him. Even while Chelsea may have the money and be prepared to pay Victor Osimhen more than most, in my opinion there are a number of suitors who are in a better position than them, and Osimhen is a highly sought-after player, so I’m not sure that Chelsea is a good fit for him right now.
