EPL: Nottingham Forest manager believes Awoniyi will recover from his injury more quickly
Steve Cooper, the manager of Nottingham Forest, is adamant that Taiwo Awoniyi will overcome his most recent injury setback.
Due to a groyne injury, the Nigerian international is currently out of commission.
The 26-year-old is anticipated to sit out for approximately one month.
The striker’s injury also forced him to miss Nigeria’s next friendly against Mozambique and Saudi Arabia.

Similar groyne issues kept Awoniyi out of play for a few weeks earlier in the year.
The attacker came back to help Nottingham Forest stay in the Premier League.
Cooper believes the striker will perform well once more after his injury.
Cooper told the Nottingham Post, “Of course, it is a blow; he’s [Awoniyi] been our guy up front.
He’s been away for a month. During the contest with Brentford, he did it.
He has previously sustained an injury and recovered very well, so he is confident in his ability. He’ll promise to do that.
This season, Awoniyi has three goals in the Premier League.
